Ski Touring & Splitboarding Long Weekend

3-Day Guided Winter Adventure

Program Overview

This multi-day program is designed for intermediate to advanced backcountry skiers and splitboarders who want to improve their skills while exploring the Rockies’ spectacular winter terrain. Participants will experience guided tours in world-class backcountry zones, practice companion rescue and group decision-making, and enjoy coaching in deep powder and alpine terrain navigation.

Program Itinerary

Day 1: Lake Louise Area

Meet your guides and fellow participants for introductions and a companion rescue refresher. Select a touring location suited to the group and current conditions, focusing on moderate terrain with good access. Practice skinning techniques and receive coaching on riding deep powder. Possible touring objectives include Sherbrooke Lake, West Nile/Bowview, or the Victoria Glacier zone.

Day 2: Yoho, Emerald Lake, or Lake Louise Area

Full-day ski tour in one of several world-class areas, chosen based on conditions and group objectives. Focus on terrain selection, decision-making practice with guide feedback, and applying skills in varied backcountry settings.

Day 3: Yoho, Emerald Lake, or Lake Louise Area

Explore a new zone with the goal of reaching higher alpine terrain, weather permitting. Potential for a glacier tour depending on conditions. Wrap-up discussions and review of skills progression from the program.

Course Package

A detailed program package will be emailed 3 days prior to the activity.
