Hiking week in the Canadian Rockies’ including Lake O'Hara

Explore the Canadian Rockies with this multi-day guided hiking program, designed for adventurous hikers seeking a variety of landscapes—from iconic viewpoints to hidden alpine gems. Led by ACMG-certified guides, the week blends classic hikes with our guides’ personal favourites, showcasing the incredible diversity of the Rockies.

The Program

The itinerary begins in the Lake O’Hara region of Yoho National Park, a protected alpine area with crystal-clear lakes and rugged cirques. From there, the group will explore Banff National Park and continue north along the Icefields Parkway, experiencing a new area each day. Objectives are selected daily by your guide based on trail conditions, weather, and the group’s skill and fitness levels.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Meet at Lake O’Hara parking lot (bus kiosk), Group meeting & Lake O’Hara hike. Evening: Camp or stay at Banff hotel
• Day 2: Cory Pass Hike, Banff National Park. Evening: Camp or stay at Banff/Lake Louise Hotel
• Day 3: Plain of 6 Glaciers to Victoria Glacier Hike, Banff National Park. Evening: Rampart Creek Hostel
• Day 4: Helen Lake Hike, Banff National Park. Evening: Rampart Creek Hostel
• Day 5: Jasper National Park & Mount Wilcox, Final Day!

If you have an exceptional experience, tips for guides are always appreciated. A 10–15% gratuity is customary and can be given in cash or arranged through the AAA office.
