The Course:

This private program is a fun and approachable introduction to the sport of rock climbing—perfect for families with children aged 6 and up, or groups of friends looking to try something new. Offered as a half-day experience, you can choose between a morning (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) or afternoon (12:30 PM–4:30 PM) session, making it easy to fit into your summer plans.

Led by ACMG certified guides, the day focuses on safety, confidence-building, and hands-on experience. We'll visit a local climbing area where participants will have the chance to try a variety of climbs suited to their ability. Along the way, you'll be introduced to key outdoor climbing skills such as belaying, rope systems, hazard awareness, and basic movement techniques. The program is fully tailored to the needs and comfort levels of your group, ensuring a safe, supportive, and fun experience on the rock.

Itinerary (Morning or Afternoon program)

  • 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM OR 12:30 PM - 4:30PM: Climb & Learn at a crag in Banff, Canmore, or Kananaskis
