Lake O'hara Day Hikes

The Hike:

You can expect to hike to Lake Oesa, then potentially on to Opabin lake.

• Lake Oesa is a straight forward 6.6 km round trip hike with only 240 m of elevation gain.
• Opabin Plateau Circuit is a 5.9km circuit with 250 m of elevation gain.
• The Alpine circuit may be hiked if it is a strong group and the trails are snow free. This is a 11km loop with 887m of elevation gain.

Once at the lake we will have the opportunity to explore some of the surrounding trails to gain some spectacular views. This trip is limited to a maximum of 4 participants due to seating limits.

As a commercial operator, we can take advantage of the reserved seating set aside on the bus for guiding companies: note there is limited capacity.

A detailed course package will be emailed 3 days prior to course commencement.

If you have an exceptional experience and would like to leave a tip for your guide, 10-15% is a customary amount. You can pay with cash or contact the AAA office directly to arrange.
