DESCRIPTION:

Experience a classic Lake Louise hike, showcasing some of Banff National Park’s most iconic scenery. This guided route offers panoramic views of glaciated peaks, hanging valleys, and dramatic rock faces, while providing insight into the region’s natural history, geology, and glacial landscapes. The hike finishes at the historic Plain of Six Glaciers Tea House, where you can relax and enjoy well-earned refreshments. Perfect for beginner hikers.

The Course

The trail begins along the shoreline of Lake Louise and gradually climbs through well-maintained forested slopes and beautiful alpine terrain. Expect sustained elevation gain and uneven trail surfaces. Guests should be prepared for changing mountain weather and 5–8 hours of hiking.

Your ACMG-certified guide will tailor the experience to your group’s skill level, fitness, and current trail conditions.

Itinerary

Your guide will determine the most suitable route and pace on the day of the hike based on trail conditions, weather, and the group’s skill and fitness level to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Course Package

A detailed course package will be emailed 3 days prior to course commencement.

Tipping Your Guide

If you have an exceptional experience, tips for guides are always appreciated. A 10–15% gratuity is customary and can be given in cash or arranged through the AAA office.
