Rock Progression: Intermediate

The Course:

Rock Progression is an immersive, hands-on training program designed for climbers looking to advance their skills and take the next step in their climbing journey. Taught by certified ACMG guides, this course builds on existing experience with outdoor climbing, providing a structured progression focused on movement, efficiency, and technical systems. Whether you’re transitioning from single-pitch climbing to more complex objectives or seeking to refine your gear placements and anchor building, Rock Progression offers high-level instruction in a supportive and dynamic setting while meeting likeminded people.

Itinerary

Day 1

• 7:45 AM: Meet your guide at our office in Banff
• Skills taught: anchor building using gear & bolts, climbing movement, hazard assessment

Day 2

• Skills taught: placing gear while mock leading, climbing movement, preparing for multipitch, rappelling

Day 3

• Classic multipitch route! [max 2:1 guest to guide ratio)

A detailed course package will be emailed 3 days prior to course commencement.

If you have an exceptional experience and would like to leave a tip for your guide, 10-15% is a customary amount. You can pay with cash or contact the AAA office directly to arrange.
