These are the most frequently asked questions that we receive throughout the year. If you have any questions that are not covered below, please contact us.
Alpine Air Adventures requires that all guests must read and agree, and sign the waiver of liability prior to the commencement of any Alpine Air Adventures trips or courses.
Alpine Air Adventures requires that all guests are to read, understand and sign the Waiver of Liability prior to commencing any Alpine Air Adventure trips or courses. The waiver requires personal, emergency and medical contact information. Waivers will be signed and witnessed in the presence of one of our guides. It is imperative that you disclose any medical condition that could put you, the guide or others safety at risk.

Greater than 3 weeks from the start date:
The deposit will be refunded in full.
Less than 3 weeks:
The full trip amount will be forfeited.
It is highly recommended to purchase medical insurance (if applicable) and traveler’s trip interruption insurance to cover travel costs and trip costs in the event you have to cancel your trip due to personal illness or injury, family emergency or other personal conflicts. If climbing within Canadian National Parks, the purchase of a park pass is required and this also acts as mountain rescue insurance if needed.
Part of the mountain experience is dealing with changing weather and conditions. Alpine Air Adventures ensures its guides are continually monitoring current and forecasted weather and conditions. Occasionally a program will require changes due to unfavourable weather conditions and or other circumstances, which may result in alternate trip locations and objectives. Be prepared for a plan B option.
Summer:
Alpine Air Adventures will supply group equipment, such as ropes, draws, and necessary climbing equipment. We do not include personal climbing equipment such as helmets, shoes, boots, crampons, harness or personal alpine kit. All of the above item can however be rented from AAA.
Winter:
Alpine Air Adventures does not include backcountry ski equipment, back packs, or avalanche kits. Avalanche kits can be rented from AAA.
Gear Rental Price List:
$25.00 – Touring Kit (beacon, shovel, probe)
$20.00 – Mountaineering Boots
$30.00 – Alpine Rental Kit (crampons, harness, axe & helmet)
$12.00 – Climbing shoes
$8.00 – Helmet
$8.00 – Climbing Harness
Transportation is not included in any programs unless specified. If needed, there may be the opportunity to carpool with the guide for a base fee of $75.00 round trip. Please contact us directly for details.

The AAA guides are monitoring the avalanche conditions and will choose terrain suitable for the danger rating. Guides will opt for low angle or low hazard terrain suitable to the conditions. If you have further concerns, please reach out to us directly.
