Banff Backcountry , ski hill access to the Banff Backcountry

Easy

DESCRIPTION:

Join the Alpine Air Adventure guides for an exhilarating day exploring the backcountry around Lake Louise ski resort. The ski lifts provide easy access to amazing terrain with long fall line ski runs such as Purple bowl, Pumpkin bowl, Wolverine ridge, the National Geo-graphics, Corral paths and West bowl, among others.

Using the lifts to access the backcountry is an efficient way to get fresh powder turns, but carries inherent risks. Given how easy it is to duck under the ropes of the ski area boundary, it's no surprise that many people get into trouble with avalanches. The Alpine Air Adventures guiding team are certified ski & mountain guides and avalanche forecasters with years of local knowledge who will get you to the best snow while keeping you safe.

These days are great for any strong on hill skier or snowboarder. There may be traverses to get back to the lifts or use of touring gear depending on the group. Ski instruction is also available during the day, as guides are CSIA certified.

The cost does NOT include lift ticket.

Minimum group size 4 guests, please inquire about a private booking if less than 4 people. Maximum group size 8 guests. A second guide will be used for groups 8+.
